About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Manager to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing practice operations, business functions, and supervising clinical and clerical team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Office Management:
    • Act as a liaison between the Practice Administrator, providers, and team members.
    • Coordinate activities between clinical and clerical team members to promote teamwork and facilitate intra-office communication and problem-solving.
    • Manage team members and lead by example to ensure patients and visitors are greeted and taken care of in the proper manner.
    • Answer patients' questions and concerns, monitor the flow of patients within the office, and ensure team members and patients are aware of delays.
    • Manage an active, ongoing process of improving patient satisfaction that is specific and measurable and provides regular progress reports to administration.
    • Proactively address facility issues, coordinate property work orders and repairs, and seek required approval when needed.
  • Operation Improvement:
    • Work with the Practice Administrator to develop and implement goals and objectives.
    • Recommend and implement organization policies and procedures.
    • Oversee all areas of office operation and act as a resource to staff and physicians.
    • Ensure the office has adequate inventory and monitors purchasing while remaining within budget parameters.
    • Seek out opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce expenses.
  • Billing/Financial Oversight:
    • Responsible for overseeing the billing practices within the office.
    • Ensure key functions such as accurate data entry of demographic information, charge and payment posting, and end-of-day procedures are completed as needed.
    • Keep abreast of reimbursement procedures and insurance requirements and regulations.
    • Run billing reports regularly on appointment reconciliation reports and visit data.
    • Maintain records of daily deposits, monitor physician performance and productivity, and provide necessary feedback to improve efficiencies.
    • Prepare monthly reports on visits, new patient volumes, hospital volumes, surgical volumes, expense variances, OT Explanations, and revenue that are submitted to the Practice Administrator before the end of the month.
Requirements
  • 2 years supervisory experience or Associate Degree - Business Management or related health field.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, positive attitude, ability to multitask, organized, flexible.
  • Computer knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree- Business Management or related health field.
  • Knowledge of Epic.
