Job Summary

Johnson Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety protocols are in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures using various equipment, including x-ray machines and fluoroscopes.
  • Position and shield patients accordingly to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Assess patient pain and make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
  • Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality within the department.
  • Maintain department stock and order supplies as needed.
  • Program and operate portable or stationary x-ray machines.
  • Process x-rays using CR or DR equipment.
  • Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining basic records and reports.
  • Interact professionally with patients and families.
Requirements
  • High School graduate; BS degree preferred.
  • Currently attending an accredited radiology school or graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Certified by the State of Arkansas to practice and administer radiation.
  • Current BLS Certification.
Physical Demands

The Radiologic Technologist will be exposed to radiological hazards and will be required to work in a normal hospital environment. The position requires close visual acuity, hearing within normal range, and oral communication. The individual will be required to operate x-ray machines, injectors, computers, telephones, stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles, and patient monitoring devices. Lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 400 pounds, frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending are also required.
