Position Overview:
The Tennis Equipment Specialist will be responsible for delivering expert stringing services and ensuring that our tennis supplies meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer tailored support to meet the unique tennis requirements of each student.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in stringing technology.
- Possess knowledge of various string types, patterns, and racquets.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure access to the latest equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service, including processing sales transactions accurately.
- Engage with professional athletes and junior players on a daily basis.
- Uphold high standards of customer service and utilize effective selling techniques.
- Assist in the execution of merchandising strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of visual merchandising and customer service standards.
- Deliver exceptional service aligned with the organization's core values.
- Maintain a tidy and organized sales area, restocking as necessary.
- Adhere to cash handling protocols and complete necessary financial documentation.
- Recommend items for re-order based on inventory needs.
- Support inventory management and product receiving processes.
- Comply with all company policies and ethical standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundational knowledge of tennis-related retail products.
- Ability to efficiently string and service a high volume of racquets.
- Experience in a tennis-focused retail environment.
- Proficiency in cash handling and customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multi-lingual capabilities.
- Certification as a Stringer (USRSA).
- Master Racquet Technician (MRT) certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 40 lbs.
- Capability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various outdoor conditions.
- Flexibility to navigate different areas of the facility.
- Willingness to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
Background Requirements:
- Background check required upon offer.
