Job Summary:
Bay Area Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to provide patient care within the scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Teach patients and significant others to promote health and wellness.
- Document patient care in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support card or must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 6 month grace period.
- Recent acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Acute care hospital experience in the past two years or intermediate/progressive care experience preferred.
Physical/Mental/Environmental Requirements:
- Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
- Requires frequent use of personal computer.
- Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
Compensation:
$42.11 - $64.76 per hour, depending on experience.
