Job Overview

At Commonshare Inc, we're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell pharmacy and retail services to patients and prescribers
  • Interact with patients and healthcare providers to understand their needs and provide personalized support
  • Take inventory of medications and supplies, and maintain accurate records
  • Fulfill prescriptions and execute phone transactions with minimal errors
  • Verify and enter customer data for narcotic and controlled substance purchasing
  • Meet with care managers and physician offices to understand needs and communicate our value
  • Perform intake and eligibility duties for new patients
  • Update patient profiles as necessary
  • Ensure proper SIG labeling and medication dispensing
  • Work independently to resolve common claim rejections
  • Effectively prioritize prescriptions and communicate patient needs to the pharmacist
  • Process prescriptions according to state and federal law and regulation
Requirements
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous pharmacy experience
  • Hospital or Home Health experience preferred
  • Non-Profit experience preferred
  • Valid Virginia ChPT with PTCB
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Criminal Background Checks including VA State Police
  • 3rd party Background Check
