JOB OVERVIEW:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for conducting ultrasound imaging procedures in alignment with established protocols. This role emphasizes delivering age-appropriate care to all patients while showcasing proficiency in a variety of ultrasound techniques, particularly focusing on abdominal, retroperitoneal, and vascular assessments. The technologist will also assist in minor ultrasound-related invasive procedures, such as cyst aspirations and biopsies, ensuring accurate information is gathered and communicated regarding each examination. Additionally, the Ultrasound Technologist will provide education to patients about their procedures, adapting to the needs of both patients and staff, and will support the Ultrasound Department to enhance overall workflow efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should possess formal knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) and have a background in a specialized field. Graduation from an AMA Accredited Ultrasound program is required. While less than one year of experience is acceptable, candidates must hold American Heart Association CPR Certification and be ARDMS Certified or board eligible, with the expectation of board certification within one year of employment.
