The Cath Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in the provision of total care to patients before, during, and after procedures. This includes providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support, as well as developing effective care plans based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Incorporate appropriate assessments and intervention skills in all interactions and delivery of nursing care">
  • Document patient information in a complete and timely manner, using computer charting and ordering systems">
  • Organize and prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient delivery of care to multiple patients">
  • Maintain excellent assessment and reassessment skills, triaging patients according to Emergency Nursing Association categories, and responding to medications and treatments accordingly">
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families about health behaviors and wellness">
  • Collect and perform Point-of-Care testing according to established policies and procedures">
  • Perform and document instrument maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting as needed">
