Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Final Line Mechanic to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and testing complex aircraft systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform complex aircraft installations, repairs, and tests, requiring in-depth knowledge of all functions of components and systems.
  2. Manage all parts and disposition of parts in assigned work station, using proper documentation and control.
  3. Assist in developing and implementing process improvements and cycle time reductions, working closely with the Team Coordinator.
  4. Coordinate work with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and quality of installations.
  5. Responsible for quality and efficiency of own installations, making repairs as needed and ensuring conformity to specifications.
  6. Use a variety of tools and equipment to successfully complete component installation, troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems as needed.
  7. Update and sign required logs and records, maintaining a neat and orderly work area and supporting the company's FOD and 5S programs.
  8. Maintain and use all logs and records, such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc., and support continuous improvement processes as assigned.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required; 7 years aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience, such as auto mechanics or heavy equipment.
  2. Two years Gulfstream aircraft experience preferred; A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  3. Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
  4. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  5. Skilled in close tolerance work, with knowledge of special tools and ability to perform close tolerance work, such as drilling, reaming, and ship fitting parts.
  6. Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, fixtures, and jigs.
  7. Ability to use mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems, using fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
  8. Thorough knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices, demonstrated ability to use within specified tolerance.
  9. Production Quality training.
  10. Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
