Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team. As a Paramedic, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency medical care to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and stabilizing patients for transport.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examination.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication administration, wound care, and other interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Active and valid Paramedic License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association
  • Completion of Handle with Care course within 90 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of hire
  • Two years of pre-hospital paramedic experience preferred
