Job Summary

The Pre-Registered Dietitian position at the State of California's Department of Developmental Services is a temporary appointment classification used for recruitment of professional dietitians. The incumbent will assist in the development and implementation of medical nutritional therapy for clients or patients in the facility and perform other related work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of medical nutritional therapy plans for clients or patients.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a registered dietitian to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Perform other related work as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Must possess a degree in dietetics or a related field.
  • Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

The Pre-Registered Dietitian position requires working with all levels of personnel within the organization. The incumbent will be exposed to all Clinical and Support services areas of the facility. The position requires problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
