LPN Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at United Methodist Communities in Camden County. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to residents, exercising good judgment and respecting confidential matters.
  • Assist with medication and treatment administration, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Notify physicians and/or responsible parties of any changes in resident health, providing proper documentation.
  • Monitor certified nursing/medication assistants, ensuring they are providing quality care.
  • Accurately and promptly transcribe orders (MAR/TAR) into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Provide nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and policies.
  • Recognize and interpret symptoms, reporting resident's condition to the appropriate staff.
  • Complete assessments/reassessments and service plans in conjunction with residents' families, personal care assistants/medication aides, and other necessary individuals.
  • Assist in the coordination of move-in and orients new residents to the facility, as well as coordinate move-outs and staff with alternative settings.
  • Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary, per policies and procedures.
  • Count narcotics at the beginning and end of each shift, sign for count, and exchange keys to medication carts and the medication room at the end of shift.
