Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for evaluating, documenting, and managing incoming materials and products to ensure they meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accepts all incoming products and packages, distributing them to the appropriate departments or stockroom.

• Conducts inspections on sample lots of incoming materials, checking for quality and physical dimensions as outlined in specification documents.

• Prepares an Inspection Data Record and Technical Data Package (TDP) for each batch of materials received, ensuring they are scanned into the system for record-keeping.

• Generates Nonconforming Material reports for any products that do not pass inspection and coordinates returns with suppliers.

• Tracks and documents the status of all incoming materials post-processing.

• Submits all invoices to the finance department for timely processing.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication.

• Familiarity with hand measurement tools such as calipers, optical comparators, and micrometers; mechanical knowledge is advantageous.

• Ability to read and interpret specification drawings accurately.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Competent in computer usage, particularly with Microsoft Office, and capable of learning new software applications.

• Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Solid mathematical skills related to drawing specification calculations.

• Capability to understand and implement Quality Management Procedures effectively.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical training preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in inspection, quality control, or quality assurance, ideally within the mechanical sector.
