Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Snyder Industries. This role is responsible for performing various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing to manufacture products to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proficiently operate assigned welding techniques and maintain equipment
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology
  • Process inspection, certification, and documentation
  • Apply finish grinding techniques using manual and power tools
  • Make modifications to molds as directed
  • Build and/or remodel equipment as required
  • Perform and assist with other related work as needed
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of two years of manufacturing and/or production experience required
  • Knowledge of safe welding equipment operation, procedures, and techniques
  • Ability to weld various materials with MIG, TIG, or stick welding equipment
  • Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters
  • Conventional and precision measuring instruments
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment may be fair to somewhat undesirable, with exposure to heat, noise, fumes, and other elements.
