About the Role

Cedar Point, the Roller Coaster Capital of the World, is seeking a skilled Roller Coaster Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and smooth operation of our 18 coasters and other thrill rides.

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, lubrication, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides and devices.
  • Operate machine shop equipment to maintain and repair ride components.
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments as needed to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must provide own hand tools.
  • Must join Laborers Union.
  • Good record and writing skills.
  • Able to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in electronic, electrical, and mechanical work.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
  • Ability to follow manufacturer's manuals and blue prints.
  • Willing to work various shifts and days, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods, to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
