Job Summary

The Telemetry Nurse is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Cardiac Care Unit. As a skilled Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs, as well as administering medications and performing various medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patient care needs, developing individualized plans to meet those needs
  • Administer medications, including non-titrating medication drips, IV therapy, and blood products
  • Perform 12-lead EKGs and accurately interpret arrhythmia strips
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements
  • Current nursing licensure in an approved compact state
  • ACLS Certification required; new employees have up to 6 months from hire date to obtain
  • Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider; new employees have up to 90 days from date of hire to obtain
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
