Join Our Team as an Engineering Intern

TDA Research, Inc. is a leading research and development company located in Golden, Colorado. We are seeking an undergraduate student studying electrical or mechanical engineering to join our team as an engineering intern.

As an engineering intern, you will work closely with our experienced engineers and scientists to design, assemble, and operate experimental apparatuses. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the development of cutting-edge chemical processes, materials, and hardware for customers in the defense, aerospace, energy, and chemical industries.

Responsibilities
  • Design, manufacture, and build test apparatuses under general supervision
  • Electrically and mechanically install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
  • Operate testing apparatuses and handle proper data collection
  • Wire circuits and program microcontrollers
  • Integrate sensors and data collection methods
  • Design mechanisms and hardware as needed
  • Document and perform various experiments
  • Convey complex information clearly and concisely
Requirements
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor's program at an accredited university
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Introduction to programming (Python, C, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of microcontrollers and sensors
  • Electrical wiring
  • General assembly
  • Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent)
  • Interested in design, controls, medical devices, or UAVs
Physical Demands
  • Sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods of time
  • Ascend/descend stairs and ladders

This is an on-site internship in Golden, CO. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $20.00 per hour, without benefits, as this is a temporary internship. We do not provide sponsorship, relocation, or housing stipend for this internship.
