A prominent player in the Alternative Investments industry is in search of a seasoned finance professional to enhance our dynamic Private Funds Group (PFG). The group has successfully launched and closed multiple funds recently and is eager to bring on board an adept individual to facilitate our ongoing expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Controller in managing the Private Funds Group's operations.
  • Oversee financial activities for a diverse portfolio of over 40 Private Equity Funds, including Primary and Secondary Fund of Funds and Separate Managed Accounts (SMAs).
  • Verify the Net Asset Value (NAV) calculated by the fund administrator.
  • Conduct practical expedient reviews during the quarterly valuation cycle.
  • Prepare comprehensive quarterly and annual financial statements for the funds.
  • Coordinate with external auditors throughout the annual audit process.
  • Administer capital calls and distributions for both General Partner (GP) and Limited Partner (LP) investors.
  • Monitor fund expenditures and manage vendor payments.
  • Address tax-related matters for the funds.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and support new business initiatives.
  • Conduct operational due diligence for prospective investments.
  • Develop and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial run rates.
  • Engage in various ad hoc projects as required.
  • Manage liquidity and cash flow for the funds.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting is required.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in the private equity sector, ideally combining public accounting and private experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Professional demeanor to interact with portfolio managers and investment teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
