Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role involves a hybrid work schedule and may require travel throughout the year. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in the creation, documentation, and implementation of processes and procedures essential for assembling our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee capital investment budgets for assigned projects.
- Manage and communicate timelines and issues related to capital equipment to the program team.
- Prepare all RFQs and Equipment Specifications for capital and tooling needs before the start of production.
- Serve as the primary contact for machining, automation, and capital equipment vendors.
- Oversee the development and final approval of production processes, including work cell layouts and ergonomic workstation designs.
- Create and maintain documentation for both prototype and production processes, ensuring all materials are ready for production.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of assembly requirements for various automotive component systems.
- Proficient in both manual and automated assembly systems and technologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems such as JIT, SPD, ILVS, and Batch manufacturing.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess labor efficiencies and capital investments.
Skills Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD LT.
- Ability to work independently and motivate team members.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a related field.
