Position: Building Engineer (Data Center) - 2nd Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, inspect, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting electrical issues and restoring power during outages.
- Manage electrical breakers and distribution systems, including UPS, ATS, and generators as required.
- Install and maintain lighting systems and controls, as well as undertake small projects involving conduit and wiring installation.
- Additional duties include operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and other mechanical operations.
- Ensure the safe and proper operation of life safety equipment and perform minor plumbing tasks.
- Respond to customer inquiries, manage work orders, and execute other assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Must utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate effective time management and prioritization abilities.
- Capable of working independently while consistently achieving results.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients and colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.
