About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Architect, Technical Staff, Engineering Technologist to join our Custom Design and Emerging Technology team in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing next-generation data center infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop data center end-to-end solutions from compute to customer data center, including traditional data center or modular data center architecture.
  • Optimize cost, energy efficiency, and performance from IT to the data center, designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems.
  • Drive the architecture of end-to-end solutions from server to data center, including air and liquid cooled servers, integrated rack solutions, power distribution, and heat rejection.
  • Demonstrate engineering rigor and leadership across various disciplines, mechanical, power, controls, and thermals, working with internal cross-functional teams, ODMs, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience with working knowledge of data center power distribution and thermal technologies from servers to the data center.
  • Experience solving complex thermal/power problems at the data center level.
  • Ability to go from customer problem statement to concept and implementation of complex data center level solutions, with customer-facing experience.
  • Experience balancing competing priorities to achieve the best possible outcome for all stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, presenting to leadership and customers.
  • Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues quickly and effectively, innovating power-centric solutions for increasingly dense IT environments.
