Summary of Position:
The Physical Security Specialist is tasked with overseeing the security operations within the organization. This role involves enforcing security protocols, regulations, and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The specialist will manage contract security personnel and assign responsibilities effectively. Additionally, safeguarding company assets and property is a critical aspect of this position.

Formulate and oversee security policies, programs, or procedures to ensure adherence to internal security standards and relevant governmental regulations.

Organize, direct, or coordinate security measures to protect company assets, personnel, guests, or others on the premises, reporting directly to the Security Manager.

Conduct thorough inspections of property to verify compliance with security policies and regulations. Identify, investigate, or rectify security violations.

Gather, analyze, and assess security operations to pinpoint risks or areas for enhancement. Communicate security status, updates, and any actual or potential issues, adhering to established protocols.

React to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response protocols. Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.

Qualifications for Position:
A. Education
Military or Law Enforcement background.
B. Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in military or law enforcement environments.
C. Competencies & Attributes
1.
Familiarity with AMAG access control systems and Avigilon CCTV systems.
2.
Knowledge of protection and safeguarding of high-value assets and personnel safety.
3.
Strong capability to manage high-pressure situations.
4.
Ability to independently resolve issues with minimal supervision.
5.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to analyze problems and provide understandable recommendations.
6.
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, internationally.
7.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain DoD Clearances.
D. Licensure/Certification
Potential to obtain Act. 235 certification.
