We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions. As a Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care within our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including examining referred patients, daily infirmary visits, and ensuring thorough documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Demonstrate clinical expertise by responding to emergencies, supervising and instructing healthcare personnel, and consulting with medical specialists and professionals to deliver high-quality care.
- Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to improve patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement initiatives, including Chronic Care Clinics, pharmacy service monitoring, and liaison with community healthcare providers.
- Review and approve treatment protocols, clinical policies, and disaster plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Provide clinical oversight, participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee, and make recommendations to enhance patient care and safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A medical school graduate degree.
- Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.
- Current licensure within the State of employment.
- A current DEA number.
- CPR certification.
- The ability to maintain privileges and meet CME requirements for continued medical practice in the State.
