Job Overview

APTIM is seeking a full-time Geologist or Environmental Scientist in Northern California with expertise in environmental site investigations and remedial actions. The successful candidate will possess two to five years' experience participating in various scopes associated with environmental site assessment and technical report preparation, and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support to clients in a variety of work scopes, including environmental site characterization, monitoring, permitting, regulatory reporting, Phase I and Phase II due diligence, and residential and commercial construction.
  • Collects and interprets soil, groundwater, and air samples.
  • Executes field work, maintains project schedule and budgetary goals, and supervises contractors.
  • Conducts work independently or as part of a project team and can adjust to rapidly changing site conditions or client requirements.
  • Adheres to established health and safety policies and procedures and executes work in a safe and conscientious manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, Hydrology, or related scientific field required.
  • Must have 2 to 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds from ground level.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed with occasional overnight stays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
