As a Traveling Pediatric ER Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in the emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Current CA RN license
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • 2 years recent experience in a segmented/separate pediatric ED or Children's hospital.
  • Experience with computerized charting
  • Triage experience, IV Start, Tele, Conscious Sedation

Schedule Information:

  • 3x12s variable or straight nights
  • Can request blocked scheduling
  • No more than 6 days RTO.
  • Must be available for all holidays, no holiday RTO allowed
  • 13 or 26 week contracts

Unit Specific Information:

  • Position specifically requires experience in a pediatric ED or Children's hospital environment.

Additional Details:

  • Valid photo ID is required.
  • Flu shot required.
  • Other certifications may be required depending on the specific unit of the hospital.
