POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be engaged in a variety of electrical engineering tasks, contributing to innovative solutions within the company. Your role will involve:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute electrical engineering projects under guidance, with the autonomy to manage detailed aspects.
  • Conduct thorough engineering evaluations on electrical systems.
  • Lead initiatives for electrical innovation and standardization at NOV.
  • Design and select electrical circuits, assemblies, and installations tailored to client specifications.
  • Support the sales team by drafting specifications that align with customer requirements.
  • Participate in contract reviews as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers to ensure adherence to project budgets.
  • Review customer order modifications and implement changes promptly.
  • Guarantee that all engineering work complies with NOV's established engineering standards and client specifications.
  • Document all alterations to electrical schematics prior to shipment and assist Technical Publications with technical content for operational manuals.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate project success.
  • Escalate issues beyond your scope to your direct supervisor.
  • Adhere to departmental rules and procedures.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, and programs, including safety and environmental standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to exceed customer expectations and support company objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design and/or troubleshooting within heavy machinery is preferred.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/SolidWorks is advantageous but not essential.
  • Understanding of standard manufacturing processes and practices.
