Overview:
Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine and CMU Health are seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join their team in Saginaw, MI. This role includes resident and medical student education, with opportunities for formal educational positions for those who desire programmatic leadership and have the requisite experience. CMU Health's affiliated hospitals (Ascension St. Mary's and Covenant Healthcare) are located in the Great Lakes Bay Region, known for its friendly communities and great quality of life.
Responsibilities:
• Teach, treat, and lead positive change throughout the region
• Allocate time for research and academic pursuits
• Work in a medium-sized city with a low cost of living, ample housing, and easy commute to large cities and international airport
• Participate in vibrant local attractions and outdoor activities
• Flexibility to fit candidates into the appropriate setting for the development of the candidate and success of the program
Position Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual who is inspired to support an established residency program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both inpatient and outpatient services, as well as working with medical students and program residents. This opportunity provides flexibility to fit candidates into the appropriate setting for the success of the program as well as the development of the candidate. We welcome and encourage all Pediatric subspecialties. This position is a full-time, employed position that offers a very competitive salary, vacation, benefits, malpractice, etc. The candidate must be able to obtain a Michigan license and be interested in scholarly activities.
Qualifications:
• MD or DO
• State of Michigan licensed or eligible
• Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine
• Controlled Substance license
• Meet credentialing criteria
