At INX International Ink, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing facility and manufacturing improvement projects, developing plans, and producing project budgets, including ROI calculations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage facility and manufacturing improvement projects, including developing plans and producing project budgets
- Support the maintenance department in troubleshooting building and equipment repairs
- Conduct testing of new equipment and make modifications to existing processes and equipment
- Work with operations management to make modifications to processes and equipment work instructions, and train other employees
- Assist INX plant maintenance with advanced troubleshooting and provide floor support to troubleshoot process problems using continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques
- Ensure that products and systems comply with applicable codes and report routine activities on a monthly basis
- Initiate or supply documentation for capital projects using TPM tools and the six-step management methodology
- Support all new equipment and processes with in-house training classes
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree
- At least 10 years of related industry experience in chemical or process manufacturing industries
- Proficient in creating and reading electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings using Autocad
- Advanced troubleshooting of mechanical/motion/hydraulic systems and solving other problems as encountered
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of electrical systems and understanding of instrumentation devices, programmable controllers, and their associated roles with system operation
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
