Forklift Driver Job Description

At Milne Fruit Products, we are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our team. As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for operating a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to load, offload, and transfer product and materials within our plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the plant
  • Inspect the forklift prior to use to ensure safety and readiness
  • Load and unload equipment and supplies to designated areas
  • Transfer drums, pallets, and bins from one location to another
  • Use a shovel to scrape remaining fruit from the bottom of bins
  • Refuel propane-operated forklifts using correct and safe procedures
  • Attach electric forklifts to battery chargers for recharging
  • Unload filter waste hopper and clarifier bins into dump trucks
  • Communicate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Washington driver's license
  • Certified Forklift Driver
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and safety protocols
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
