Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist Level I to join our team in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including basic and intermediate imaging processing.
  • Obtain medical history from patients and verify exam accuracy by comparing requisitions to physicians' orders.
  • Position patients and select scanning factors to attain appropriate images, ensuring radiation protection and safety.
  • Administer contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist and assist with scanning techniques.
  • Post-process images as directed and accurately identify and label images with patient information.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Identify equipment performance issues and perform quality assurance tests and calibration procedures.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Education and Experience
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
  • Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing.
