Job DescriptionSenior Industrial Engineer

The Senior Industrial Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing production analysis and efficiency methods to minimize cycle-time and maximize productivity in the NY CREATES 300mm process line. This position will work closely with the Production Control and IT teams to establish valid metrics and reports, leveraging the RTD software to develop new reports, procedures, and dispatching guidelines that enhance the overall Fab performance.

The ideal candidate will provide regular analysis of operational methods and efficiency, performing detailed time/motion efficiency studies of the manufacturing operation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing improvement inputs to the NY CREATES fab wafer inventory system(s) based on workflow analyses, engineering inputs, and cleanroom operator inputs.
  • Improving operational efficiency, equipment utilization, and cycle time.
  • Managing members of the production control team.
  • Developing and publishing weekly customer reports on metrics data within the Fab.
  • Working with Production Control and IT to develop valuable reports and metrics.
  • Managing the production control technicians and monitoring work in process in the fab.
  • Understanding and implementing operational projects in the RTD system.
  • Tracking critical tools and reporting out on them to management.
  • Presenting specific WIP corridor program metrics in the weekly IE meeting.
Requirements

The successful candidate must possess a B.S. degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or an equivalent Engineering and/or Science discipline from a college or University accredited by the USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization. A minimum of two (2) years of advanced research or manufacturing industry experience in the areas of Manufacturing Execution Systems, Factory Automation, Planning, and/or Industrial Engineering is required, with a demonstrated track record of implementing rational solutions to manufacturing and operational systems problems.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution and Dispatching Systems is also required. Experience with SiView operating system and RTD system is preferred, with semiconductor manufacturing or research experience being highly desirable.

Level A $100,000-$115,000

Level B $115,000-$130,000
