Job Summary:

EvergreenHealth is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our dynamic Acute Care/Inpatient Rehabilitation department. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the rehabilitation journey of adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Under the direct supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, provide specific physical therapy treatments to patients with varying needs, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple trauma, amputation, and other injuries or disorders.
  2. Maintain accurate patient medical records, evaluations, and educational materials, ensuring timely and efficient record-keeping processes.
  3. Collaborate with staff therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans, promoting patient progress and achievement of optimal functional outcomes.
  4. Participate in performance improvement activities within the department, maintaining a focus on continuous quality improvement (CQI) and contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to utilize Cerner applications for delivering and tracking patient care
  • Satisfactory completion of Rehabilitation Aide Competency Evaluation and job training
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
