Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts radiologic examinations as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Performs standard procedures in alignment with departmental protocols.
  • Reviews requisitions for any physician notes or specific directives.
  • Collaborates with Radiologists or physicians as required.
  • Selects appropriate technical parameters tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Operates imaging equipment according to the requirements of each examination.
  • Assists in maintaining thorough patient documentation.
  • Collects specimens and executes certain diagnostic tests as instructed by physicians.
  • Prepares specimens for transfer to laboratories for tests not conducted at the facility.
Physical Demands

This position necessitates considerable physical activity, including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, and bending. The ability to lift and support up to 50 pounds is essential for managing patients and medical equipment. Candidates must possess full sensory capabilities and the ability to focus and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required. Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program is mandatory. Current registration with ARRT or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire is essential. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred. BLS certification is required in accordance with policy guidelines, and maintaining current certification is necessary.
