Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic radiology services for patients of all ages, applying principles of radiation protection and adhering to department policy and procedure.
  • Contribute positively to meeting departmental goals, including a retake analysis of < 5%.
  • Provide patient care and education, recognizing patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiating life support measures.
  • Exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures, demonstrating anatomy under investigation through proper patient positioning and technique selection.
  • Assist physicians with imaging procedures and administration of contrast media.
Requirements:
  • Completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
  • Active Massachusetts license to perform radiography.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible with successful completion of the registry within 3 months of hire.
Work Environment:

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
