Job Summary

The Speech Pathologist will provide clinical services to pediatric patients, utilizing standards of care and evidence-based practices. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and current state licensure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric populations and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to pediatric patients, including screening, testing, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Consult, educate, and train patients and their caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Supervise and educate colleagues, new employees, and students in training.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with other professionals, patients, families, and caregivers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state Speech Pathologist license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Current certificate of clinical competence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Speech Pathology experience, particularly in pediatric settings.
  • Hospital experience.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations.
Work Environment

This role will be based at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
