MIG Specialist

This Aluminum Fabricator role involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for safely operating equipment, performing MIG welds on aluminum, and following established procedures and approved processes.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate equipment to meet production requirements.
• Perform MIG welds on aluminum, according to company standards.
• TIG welding skill is a plus.
• Perform vertical and horizontal fillet MIG welds, with a high degree of quality and little supervision.
• Understand and know how to use PPE for all work areas and material.
• Accurately and in a timely manner to produce materials to specifications under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and follow established procedures and approved processes.
• Experience in pulse-on-pulse MIG machine is a plus.
• Comply with all equipment operations & procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalency.
• 2-5 years TIG experience is a plus.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings.
• Able to read tape measure and perform simple math such as adding and subtracting fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a team or independently.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Knowledge of shipyard safety practices, vessel terminology and use of scissor and boom lifts.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
