Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety while performing MRI procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Operate MRI equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory management and staff scheduling
  • Provide exceptional patient care and adapt to the specific needs of each patient
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT registration as an MR technologist, or equivalent
  • Advanced certification in MRI required within two years of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical MRI experience
  • Advanced certification in MRI
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. The incumbent will be exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue, and must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
