We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients in the school setting.

About the Job

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm. The location is in Ft. Cavazos, TX 76544. The acuity level is low, and the age group is children.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Document care provided in a timely and compliant manner
  • Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease prevention
  • Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
  • Follow up with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on client problems and concerns
Requirements
  • Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
