Position: HVAC Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Montgomery, AL

Employment Type:

Job Responsibilities:

The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for:

  • Installing new HVAC systems in residential properties.
  • Setting up ductwork and thermostats for optimal system control.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on HVAC units to ensure efficiency.
  • Completing an HVAC training program or apprenticeship is required.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues with existing HVAC systems.
  • Replacing parts in malfunctioning HVAC units.
  • Managing inventory of replacement components and ordering as necessary.
  • Adhering to safety standards set by the company and industry.
  • Assisting in the training of fellow maintenance staff.
  • Responding to emergency work orders during on-call duty.
  • Supporting management with various developmental tasks.
  • Handling administrative duties, including processing work orders and maintaining records.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet one of the following:

  1. High School diploma or GED equivalent with technical courses in mechanical, electrical, or building trades.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of building structures, appliances, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  3. A combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge and skills.

Note: Candidates must possess journeyman-level skills in at least one trade.
