This role involves the precise application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging, ensuring the highest quality radiographs while minimizing radiation exposure to patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Radiographic Procedures: Conducting radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with accuracy and skill.
  • Patient Positioning: Expertly positioning patients and equipment to accurately capture the required images, necessitating a strong understanding of human anatomy.
  • Radiation Safety: Implementing appropriate radiation protection measures for both patients and staff in accordance with established safety protocols.
  • Technical Adjustments: Modifying technical factors to ensure optimal exposure, utilizing independent judgment and comprehensive knowledge of radiologic principles.

Additional Responsibilities: Assisting radiologists during sterile procedures, performing portable radiographic tasks, and managing nursing duties such as administering contrast media and recognizing allergic reactions. Continuous professional development is encouraged through participation in educational programs and maintaining active engagement with professional organizations.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least 1 year of X-ray experience and surgical experience, along with ARRT and BLS certifications. A thorough work history and references from recent employment are required.
