Electrical Reliability Expert

We are seeking an Electrical Reliability Expert to join our maintenance & reliability department in Brewton, AL. This position is directly responsible for the safety, development, training, and productivity of the electrical reliability group - 2 Electrical Engineers and 1 Electrical Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in electrical power distribution, motors, drives, and PLCs. Strong leadership skills, combined with the ability to build strong teams and effectively communicate are essential for this role.

This position provides management and expertise across all mill electrical assets. The Electrical Reliability Expert will report to the Maintenance Execution Manager and play a key role within the team of 80 employees. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and directing electrical reliability and maintenance activities.
• Driving safety and compliance excellence through effective work execution, personally modeling safe behaviors.
• Ensuring safe electrical work practices and arc flash prevention in accordance with GP ESWP standards, National Electrical Code, and NFPA 70E.
• Ensuring proper operation, inspection, and repair of electrical power distribution equipment, maintaining standards of NFPA 70B and NETA MTS-2019.
• Providing expertise on Transformers, Motors, VFDs, starters, relays, and PLCs.
• Mentoring and providing technical support to electrical engineers and technicians.

The successful candidate will have a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, four (4) plus years of electrical power distribution experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or military environment, and strong technical skills in electrical and instrumentation systems.

A Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, experience working with a pulp and paper mill, four or more years of work experience in industrial electrical engineering, teaching, coaching, and mentoring others, working with reliability techs and/or reliability methods in a manufacturing or industrial setting, and experience with Asset Suite CMMS are highly desirable.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $110,000-$140,000 based on industry standards and comparable positions in the region. This figure includes base pay, bonuses, and benefits.
