Job Summary:

The Global Supply Chain Strategist - Vendor Partnerships will play a critical role in the development and operational delivery of the global vendor management program for one of our largest clients. This role requires coordinating and/or participating in vendor management activities across the organization, including strategic-level engagement with senior leadership, internal customers, business functions, and vendors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Support the client in developing a clear and effective vendor management strategy and associated programmatic capability.
  • Manage the operational delivery of the program, ensuring core products, projects, and services are delivered in-full and on-time.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure alignment with the client's organizational objectives, quality standards, and service levels.
  • Establish and maintain mechanisms to continuously assess vendor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans to optimize vendor relationships.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative approach to managing vendors and supply chains with internal customers.
  • Establish and maintain mechanisms to mitigate supply-chain/vendor-related risks and enhance the overall resilience of the client's supply-chain.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to executive leadership on supply chain performance and business outcomes.
  • Drive consistent program performance in relation to formal business and program metrics and targets.
  • Directly inform and/or develop internal policies and standards related to supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business operations with seven years of supply chain or outsourced service management and strategic planning experience within a regional or global corporate environment.
  • Able to utilize expertise and judgment to select stakeholders and determine the right goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions.
  • Able to lead complex programs where the problem and/or the plan/strategy may not be defined and recommend sound solutions.
  • Able to recognize team strengths and growth areas and leverages strengths to build team engagement and cohesion.
  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Able to work independently, under pressure, and collaboratively at various levels within the organization.
  • Able to find a path forward in difficult situations.
  • Clear and concise in verbal and written communication skills across locations, roles, and functions, industry groups, and internal/external key stakeholders.
  • Able to identify trade-offs between time vs. quality vs. resources.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

This role requires regular computer usage and occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment. The ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours, to meet demands of a globally dispersed team is also required.
