About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum Researcher to join our team at the National Security Agency (NSA). As a member of our elite research team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that drive global impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experimental or theoretical research into the fundamental limitations of qubit devices and the development of novel qubits with the potential to disrupt the application space of quantum technologies.
  • Collaborate with leading scientists in quantum computing across government, industry, and academia to understand the latest state-of-the-art research, and identify future research gaps and needs.
  • Implement strategies by directing U.S. Government investments in quantum information science.
  • Advance U.S. leadership in Quantum Information Science (QIS) for the benefit of the entire nation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in quantum hardware development, quantum supporting technologies and methods, quantum protocol development, including quantum error correction, characterization, analysis, and physical constraints of quantum systems, and maturing quantum technologies.
  • Strong understanding of several layers of a quantum information system hierarchy, from micro-physics to logical.
