Job Responsibilities and Qualifications Under the general supervision of the Director, Manager, or Nurse Manager, you will coordinate and deliver patient care while taking individual responsibility and accountability for nursing services. Nursing care is provided in alignment with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.
Required Qualifications:
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- The Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Research Medical Center is accredited by The Commission on Cancer. According to the Commission on Cancer Standard 4.2, nursing professionals must complete 12 Oncology-specific CNEs/CMEs each calendar year or hold an accredited certification starting after one year of hire.
- A minimum of one year of oncology and chemotherapy experience is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse - Missouri Licensure (or compact) is required.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
