Speech-Language Pathology Position

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at United & Empowered Care. This position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing direct therapy services to children.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of children's communication skills, including speech and language abilities.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Deliver high-quality therapy services in various settings, including clinics and schools.
  • Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and educate families on strategies to support language development.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with pediatric populations.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia.
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Educational Requirements:

A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required for this role. We also value candidates who have completed relevant coursework or training programs in areas such as linguistics, psychology, or special education.

Professional Certifications:

A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should possess any necessary certifications for working with pediatric populations in Virginia.
