About the Role

This position involves assisting with travel arrangement coordination between travelers and designated DoD Commercial Travel Offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for informing travelers and AO's on travel requirements, allowances, limitations, and assisting with the processing of travel authorizations and vouchers, as well as coordinating settlement actions with associated finance/disbursing entities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with travel arrangement coordination between travelers and designated DoD Commercial Travel Offices.
  • Inform travelers and AO's on travel requirements, allowances, limitations, and assist with the processing of travel authorizations and vouchers.
  • Coordinate settlement actions with associated finance/disbursing entities.
Requirements
  • Must possess full understanding and experience of federal and DoD travel policies, processes, procedures, and systems - including Defense Travel System - used to enable worldwide travel.
  • Extensive knowledge of Marine Corps administrative systems, processes, rules, and regulations (5+ years' experience).
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficient in Windows Software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in effectively communicating with senior staff members and cross-departmental communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 15+ years of Marine Corps Administration experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience in working through Inspecting General's Inspection.
