About the Role

Virtua Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
  • Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions and regimes, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Effectively manage rapidly changing situations, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, identifying opportunities for growth and excellence.
  • Maintain professional and departmental level competencies, staying current with best practices and emerging trends.
Requirements
  • Valid NJ RN License, with approved licenses presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey licensing board.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
