Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer, PE to contribute their expertise to our team at Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects and make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions, ensuring accurate data for project planning.
  • Perform geotechnical analysis and calculations to design foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilization systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical considerations, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical specifications, maintaining project quality and safety.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License, with preference for the State of North Carolina.
  • Experience in geotechnical investigations, geotechnical reports, defining testing plans, interpreting test data, performing engineering analyses for foundation design, drilling, boring plan layout, site preparation issues, slope stability, and seismic hazard evaluations.
