We serve as the region's tertiary care and Level II Trauma Center, featuring specialized institutes for heart, vascular, and cancer care, as well as emergency air rescue services.

Key Responsibilities

Pediatric Registered Nurses deliver direct care to patients from infancy through adolescence, including those with medical, surgical, and oncology needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing care to a manageable patient load based on acuity, typically maintaining a ratio of 1 nurse to 3 patients.
  • Collaborating with the Pediatric charge nurse to organize and prioritize care delivery.
  • Evaluating and communicating effectively with healthcare providers and ancillary departments.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current RN licensure in Idaho.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • PALS certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • ONS certification is also required within the first year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in acute care settings is preferred.
