Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident care under the guidance of the RN or Charge Nurse
  • Exercise concern for the resident's welfare above all else
  • Remain up-to-date on new nursing skills, technology, and requirements in the changing healthcare environment
  • Perform duties in accordance with physician's orders, Medical Center policies, methods, and techniques
  • Practice and maintain high ethical standards
  • Participate in in-service programs, education programs, and orientation of new personnel
  • Provide leadership and promote teamwork
  • Evaluate ongoing resident needs and problems
  • Perform treatments and administer medication to residents
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observation and care
Requirements
  • LPN License to practice in the State of Minnesota
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Prefer prior experience providing care in a long-term care environment
