We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU/CCU team at Merit Health River Region. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Implement and document nursing care, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based treatments and interventions.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, providing support and expertise as needed.
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of your practice as a registered nurse.
- Teach patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills, promoting independence and empowerment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Mississippi RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or within 90 days of hire).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification preferred.
- At least 6 months of critical care or intensive care experience (preferably in an ICU/CCU setting).
